This place was the bomb! Came here with my parents and son, and were seated right away despite how busy they were (almost non stop diners walking in). The menu was extensive and they have a whole bunch of saimin dishes! I went with a combo that came with one stick of Teri beef (so I could sample both the saimin and Teri beef). I also got the green river float, which was a nice dessert drink. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was casual/ local. My son enjoyed the bits of saimin noodles and egg bits. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu! Check em out!

Located in the Waimalu shopping center near Palama market and Canjun crab is shiro's Saimin! They have so many style la and choices of saimin besides other local food items, it is like going to basket and Robins I've cream with so many choices. The service was great they treat you like you are visiting friends & family! The Teri beef was very tasty and tender. The saimin was done right and the soup base wasn't over powering. The won tun was also good and tasty and the vegetables were fresh and came with slot of garnish. Parking was a little hard to find but it cleared up when we were leaving, because other shops and restaurants started to or was closed.

Shiro's synonymous with saimin since small kid time....Located in the waimalu shopping center (Diagonally across cutter ford aiea) the parking can be absolutely packed during meal time hours and you gotta compete with many other eateries for parking. Once you finally do find parking and enter into Shiro's ....The insides is airconditioned and its alot bigger inside than you expect. (Estimate probably seating for 100 people) The restaurant was well staffed and the manager was running the place well....Depending on the time you come (IMO) it can be either real packed or busy but from my experiences never slow....The staff is always cool...the place clean...prices reasonable and food good....Always a nice experience here

Love to go here for the Saimin and the beef stew. It's clean inside and has lots of seats. They accept Apple Pay and credit card here. My go to order is the Saimin with Teri beef burger with side of French fries My hubby likes to order the beef stew bowl to go.
After shopping at a couple of stores nearby, I suggested dining here. We walked in around 12:30 pm on a Sunday and were fortunate there was no line though the dining room was full. We waited a few seconds as a waitress cleared a wall table on the left. We studied the menus that she gave us before ordering a few minutes later. The menu is large with foods from a variety of cuisine. I chose the special that was on a stand up plastic clip on our table, drymein (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=144&select=l8mfckyH3ZxCak_HwegRng) which came with a teri stick (beef) (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=144&select=6FH9eVSPQVWSUZRYCwh3Jw); here's a description of the meal (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=456&select=fvWjyfYhfas9ZiA3oDIErQ).. Wanting to try more menu items, I added a Local Boy stew cup (no rice) (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=144&select=n6AfDMpUPzVFTNxU4pMnkg), basically a side order of beef stew. I liked my meal as the smaller saimin gave me stomach space to try the other items. My best comparison for the drymein is lo mein in HK and the mainland where the soup is served separately from the noodles and wonton, if applicable. I dipped the noodles with the various toppings intermittently so that every bite would be different. The teri stick is larger than the Kalihi place but more laden in sauce. The beef stew was solid, packed with medium potato and carrot chunks. My friend had the Big Brah Large saimin with garnishes (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=144&select=Dxx7OMJVXL3DloJ5Nhn9ng) which was a hearty meal with Napa cabbage and plenty of noodles. Our waitress was kind enough to make menu suggestions to maximize our bang for our bucks. The dining room stayed full throughout the meal with intermittent lines, filled with families with young children post sporting events and couples and friends for a late lunches. I didn't notice the dining room to the left until I went to get a takeout menu from the cashier counter. As expected, that room was full too. In observing our surrounding tables, I noticed several diners having a burger and a small or medium saimin. That'll probably be my meal on my next visit. Thank you to the auntie who took our order and tended to our needs.
